Laboratory presses

Laboratory presses for the products of the future

To maintain a competitive edge, it is essential to continue developing new, innovative products and processes. Pressing processes for innovative materials or specialized designs are no exception. At the outset of product development, many questions remain unanswered. What materials can be combined? What pressing tools are needed? Questions like these can be tested out on a small scale in a laboratory, using a realistic press. Laboratory presses from Joos were developed for exactly this application. Our compact presses are an outstanding choice for material research and laboratory applications. The hydraulic presses are available with a wide range of options. Different tool mounts and connections, presses with an extraction hood, heating plates, multiple heating zones, or multiple daylights can be produced. The PLC controller and data collection during the pressing process are just as important for the development environment as precise adjustment as pressing parameters.

We have been working closely with industry partners for many years, and deliver customized laboratory presses to our customers in every industry where material research and development are involved.

Our standard models

Laboratory presses are customized presses. Nevertheless, our product portfolio does include series machines for high-demand developments. In our series models as well, we value manufacturing flexible presses for multiple different applications.

The LAP S series is a table press for prototype production and simple pressing. The press plate size goes up to 100 mm x 100 mm, and the pressing force goes up to 50 kN.

Our LAP M series is suitable for challenging pressing tasks which also involve limited space. The press plate size is up to 300 mm x 300 mm, with a pressing force of up to 400 kN.

The LAP series offers a complete range of functions for laboratory use. Choose from many different equipment options like controllers, data collection, pressing tool mounts, connections, and much more.  Standard models have a press surface area up to 600 mm x 600 mm and pressing force up to 2000 kN. As a manufacturer, we are also glad to handle special requests from our customers, and to deliver the right system for each individual application.
