Punch presses

Hydraulic presses as punching machine

In mechanical engineering applications, many components are punched using punching machines. Punching is a commonly-used separating process with hydraulic presses. Parts manufactured with this method are called stamped parts. They are punched out of a material using a tool at high speed and with a high level of force. Presses are also used to manufacture perforated sheets through punching.

The requirements for punching presses are extremely high. Presses must be designed to maintain their stability under high pressing forces in order to ensure consistent, high-quality punching results. The table must be adapted to the punching process. Joos uses cutting force damping to improve the service life of the press and pressing tools. Punch presses are often used in series production of high quantities of products, and must work reliably stroke after stroke. Our customers benefit from our many years of experience in punching machine construction.
